CUT THE CURLS!

Babe planned a spontaneous weekend get away to the Oregon coast and on the way back we made a life changing decision... cut the curls! :/ Ahhh I knew it was time. Noah's ringlets started to get too long and tangled and we both knew that it was time. We drove by a place called "sports clips" and we knew it was the one! We walked in and there were balls everywhere and sports playing on a bunch of TV's... Noah was in Heaven. He sat on Dad's lap and enjoyed the process of the woman snipping off one precious curl at a time. With each "snip," came a heart wrench and a rush of excitement as I prayed that those curls would some day come back. I wondered what Noah would do without his curl that he twirls around his fingers while falling asleep. How much older would he look with a little business man cut? My baby was about to grow up and lose a trait that so greatly helped define him. Haha well this is how it felt!! I knew he would be oh so handsome but dang, look at that kid! What a gorgeous creation of the Lord. Noah you are so blessed. As your mother I feel like it's my job to keep you confident (probably wont have to try) and keep you humble as you endure life's feats. Your journey on this earth is just beginning and I can't help but wonder where your feet will take you and what you will become. Thinking about you growing into adulthood scares me but you are so amazing and God is so good, I know He will always walk with you and guide you. No matter what happens, today is all we have, and today you are a beautiful, happy, caring, loving, hilarious, smart little boy and I love you beyond words. Cheers to new hair and a new memory. xoxoooo. <3 nbsp="" p="">

Been a while! Updates on our little love

Well I have not posted in quite a while, but Noah is keeping us so busy these days!! He is now 2 years and 2 months old and ADORABLE. His long golden curly flowing hair scrunches into ringlets down his back. Noah, when you take a bath and your hair gets wet it grows about 3 inches or more! We love your surfer mullet and are not quite ready to cut it yet. All we have done so far is have Gramma Tutu trim your bangs! You love your "Tutu." Babe and I toy with getting your first real hair cut but we instantly hold back at the thought of it. :/ Some day. :) Your blue eyes light up and reflect the sky when the sun comes out. Your huge smile and mouth full of teeth can make anyone smile. You are such a goofball, too! You love making people laugh by dancing, making funny faces, singing, jumping, skipping, or rocking out on the piano or drums. You also LOVE playing ball. Anything "ball", really. It's your fav word STILL (along with "Grampa" lately) and you make everything into a ball game. Grampa taught you to tuck a small ball under his shirt and say "where the ball?" so now you do that every 5 minutes and it never gets old for you...like ever. Haha you think it's hilarious (it is). The other day you put it under your shirt and it fell out behind you without realizing it and you were just reaching under his shirt like "NO seriously! WHERE's the ball!!?" haaha we had a good laugh when you found it! Noah James you are seriously a bundle of joy. When you set your mind on something, there's no stopping you. You are determined and serious about the things you love, even at such a young age. You are creative and play with your toys how YOU think they should be played. Always making up new ways to do things and when you have exhausted all your options, you get frustrated that there's nothing left to do, so we have to move on to a new little project. You think hard before making decisions. You have always been like that. You are smart and tidy. (Slightly OCD actually. :)) When you're done with your dishes lately, you take the initiative to throw them in the sink and when you're done with garbage you throw it away. You love doing things on your own lately and helping out. Very independent (age appropriate of course) and when it's time to change your diaper, you bring me a new one along with wipes and baby powder. You are almost always happy to help unless you really don't want your diaper changed... and that's a whole other story. Aha. We are beginning to work on potty training and sitting on his froggy potty. You also have new training pants from Nana, so we wear those around the house and you will begin to wear them at Daycare during the week starting tomorrow!! Ahhh you are growing up right before our eyes and I cannot believe it! I am starting my LAST quarter of Nursing pre-req's and taking 21 credits! :/ Don't know what I'm doing but with the help of the Lord and support of my husband and fam I will stay focused and motivated. :) Anyway, back to Noah... we had a very fun 2nd birthday party for him. Gram couldn't make it but she is doing great now and Noah loves visiting her at her Camano house! I thought more people would attend your bday party, but everyone who was supposed to be there was there and that's fine with us. I made Noah "ball cupcakes" and 3 ball cakes. (one baseball, one basketball and one soccer ball) It was obviously sports themed and we had a good time with the friends and fam who attended! Noah loves the outdoors and right now he is really into rocks. I don't know why... but he loves "rocks!" He just had his 2 year well child checkup and he is still in the 99th percentile for height and 90th for weight! He is a tall solid strong boy and he is so blessed. He is taller than everyone his age at daycare and people often ask if he's 3. He does very well at daycare and loves Barbara ("Bawbwa") these days. His good friends are Rylin, Logan and Amelia. Amelia is so cute. Every time I go pick him up she says "Noah's mommy!" and runs up and gives me a huge hug! haha. He also loves his little friend "Bella." He likes to help the crying babies at Daycare. When I drop him off he runs up to them and says "uh oh!" and looks around with a concerned look on his face for help. It is precious. He also is a bit of a regulator I guess you could say. He is always telling on kids who are doing something they shouldn't be. It's pretty funny. Bubbuh also loves to read. Lately he is obviously more into the pictures and going through a book really fast then moving on to the next. He gives kisses and loves and woke me up the other morning with 2 big kisses on the lips! Sweetest thing in the world. He melts my heart with each sweet embrace. Although he is constantly making me want more babies, he is such a handful and we are both very content with him at this point in time. He is our world. He is a ball of energy and a bundle of love. We love him soo much and are beyond blessed.
Fun with Mom & Da on Patty's day!

Sing, Song, Sing! :)

I just had to post these two snap shots because they are so lovely to me! Lol my baby is singing his heart out and loving his yummies! Cherishing the moments...

"This one's for my fans..."

"La la laaa la laaa!"

First Family Halloween!

The leaves had turned, the air had crisped, the pumpkin spice latte's had been devoured, and my baby was rapidly approaching his very first Halloween! Nah Nah threw a small Halloween gathering with festive treats and her home was full of creatively spooky decor. It was the perfect way to spend Bubbuh's first Hallow's Eve! We wrapped him in his little Lion costume and I must say, I have never ever seen a cuter little lion crawling around! He of course kept attempting to rip off his mane, but I managed to snap a few perfect shots before it was removed for good. Babe and I carved pumpkins together and without planning, we carved them to look like each other. I think mine was much more accurate, mind you! ... Haha!

We also bobbed for apples at Angie's and it was a blast...

We decided not to take Noah trick or treating this year. It was far too cold, and he falls asleep so early that we wouldn't have much time, so we stayed in and handed out candy, which ended up being a blast AND really stressful because we ran out of candy and kids just kept comin!! Ahah. I think we ended up turning our light off. I had no idea there were so  many kids on our block (at the marysville house!) It was pretty awesome though, because I have never really been able to hand out candy due to the dark desolate street that the cabin is on! Anyway, I am so blessed to have all of these experiences with my baby and Babe and in-law's and family and I am soo excited for the growth and joy and new experiences in the years to come. <3 nbsp="nbsp" p="p">

Autumn at the Marysville House!

It's been a while since I've blogged, and looking back, I can't believe how much you've grown!! You watched Daddy work on his volvo out in the garage at the Marysville house and seemed highly interested in his project! You crawled around in the grass at our first home, highly fascinated with the green creation. In that home, you learned how to crawl, how to scoot and coo at your best. You had your very first Christmas, Halloween and New Year. You said your first words, "Mama, Da Da, Dog." You loooove dogs. You went from a bassinette to a big-boy crib, in your turquoise bedroom that I painted for you. I took you on many walks and runs in our jogging stroller, up and down Cedar Ave. You joined me as I enjoyed many pumpkin spice latte's and crisp fall air. Dad worked his butt off so that I could spend all of my time being a full-time, stay at home mom for the first year and a half of your life. I have been soo blessed with the opportunity to be present during so many integral moments of your new life on this earth, Noah James. During that winter, Dad spent a decent amount of time with Hugo up at Stevens Pass, snowboarding from dawn to dusk! He loooves snowboarding, and I can guarantee you two will make many monumental memories some day, getting lost in the winter wonderland. Dad and Mom celebrated their 1st Anniversary in that house... well, technically in Maui, but we were of course living there at the time. Dad turned 24 in that home... and I turned 23. It was a pretty dang good first home for our little family, and we are blessed that Grampa Wampa and Grandma Tutu had it available to live in at the time. We laughed, cried, learned how much you love sleep, and learned even more, how much we love each other in that little home. Counting our blessings... God is good. :)

PUMPKIN PATCH & Corn Maze!

WE LOVE YOU, LITTLE MUNCHKIN! :)

Noah James! You went to your first Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch! It was SUCH a blast! First of all, let's thank Afton Tyler (Aftots) For the amazing photography! She brought her awesome camera and captured the 3 of us with love. The lovely Kate, Skye, Todd, and Afton all drove down from Seattle and met up with us for a day of fun with the corn maze, pumpkins, and hot cider in Snohomish! I decided to dress you up as a scarecrow but I must say, you looked a lot like a little farmer. Aha. You were ADORABLE in your cute little straw hat, overalls, plaid shirt, and bare feet! (Don't worry... I later put socks on you and bundled you up right before it started raining.) I got your back, baby. Haha. Anyway, you showed off your cute little bottom teeth for the camera and grinned your biggest grin for this lady that got you to laugh during the little photo shoot! She was soo into it. You were so distracted at first then she got your attention and it was all smiles from there! A little photo angel was with us. ;) You later spun around on your Daddy's shoulders and ran your hands along the corn leaves. You couldn't stop reaching for them. It was precious. You LOVE being in his arms. Again, you loooved being in a new place with new things to touch and see and learn about. You're a curious cat... the CUTEST curious cat I have EVER. SEEN. We ALL love you boo boo!
